Vodafone Ghana has opened a new state-of-the-art retail store on Ghana’s most popular street-the Oxford Street at Osu in Accra. The facility was commissioned by Vodafone Group CEO Vittorio Colao together with the Minister for Communications, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, as part of Mr. Colao’s two-day business trip to Ghana. The retail store features Vodafone’s first 24 hour internet café equipped with a 29-seater terminal area and a 5-seater WiFi zone. A statement from Vodafone said the retail store is fully equipped with a document centre which will enable customers to photocopy, scan, print, laminate, comb-bind and fax their documents, adding that it would operate for 12 hours a day to cater for the needs of customers. It quoted Vodafone Ghana Head of Corporate Communications, Carmen Bruce-Annan as saying “our presence on Oxford Street is another move by Vodafone to give customers the best experience in the most exclusive locations.” She said the opening of Vodafone’s first ever 24 hour internet café will give its customers the convenience of accessing information at the fastest internet speeds in West Africa. “The facilities in the shop are also unmatched in terms of its equipments and service and we believe we have set the standard by taking customer service to another level,” she said. She said the Vodafone retail store also features the first ever live interactive display where customers could walk in and experience the latest devices on display such as the galaxy tab, laptops and blackberry handsets. Carmen Bruce-Annan said the newly commissioned retail store was just one of many to be rolled out across country. Source: Vodafone Ghana
