The Black Queens opened camp in Ismailia on Monday, October 20, ahead of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Qualifier against Egypt.
The team held its first training session later in the day with 18 players being involved in the opening session.
Kim Lars Bjorkegren called up a 24-woman squad for the two-legged affair but 18 were available at his disposal for the first training session.
These players included captain Portia Boakye, Jennifer Cudjoe, Grace Asantewaa, Princess Marfo, Stella Nyamekye, Abigail Appiah, Abigail Kim, Ernestina Abambila. Doris Boaduwaa, Comfort Yeboah, Nancy Amoh, Evelyn Badu, Nina Norshie and Mary Amponsah were also involved in the session.

Goalkeepers Cynthia Konlan and Kerrie McCarthy also trained with the team.
The team later received the full complement of the house with players such as Sarah Nyarko, Josephine Bonsu, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah and the others all joining the squad at their base.
The session focused on light recovery drills, ball work, and tactical exercises to help the players acclimatize to the weather and playing conditions in Ismailia.
Egypt will host the first leg of the tie on Thursday, October 23, before taking a trip to Ghana for the reverse fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 28.
