With just a minute until full time, Owusu put the game beyond the reach of the Burkinabes as the Ghanaian champions sealed a 3-0 win.
The Techiman-based side will face Bayalsa QFC in their next group game on Wednesday, August 24.
Nigeria's Bayalsa QFC defeated Athleta FC in the other group game with a 5-0 score to go top of Group B.
