Both Jonina Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies suffered their first defeats of the 2025/26 Ghana Women's Premier League over the weekend.
Jonina Ladies, who are leaders of the table in the Southern Zone, had been on a seven-game unbeaten run since the start of the season, dropping just two points in that period.
However, that run ended on Sunday in their league game against Army Ladies when they made the trip to Teshie.
Esther Asamoah Yiadom scored the only goal of the game to give the home side the lead and hand Jonina their first loss of the campaign.
In other games, Soccer Intellectuals recorded a narrow win over Halifax Queens on Saturday.
Defending champions Police Ladies dropped points when they drew 0-0 with Hasaacas Ladies at the Alajo Astro Turf.
Epiphany Warriors shared the spoils with LadyStrikers in their meeting.
In the Northern Zone, Dreams Ladies came from behind to beat Ampem Darkoa Ladies, handing the latter their first defeat of the campaign.
FC Savannah and Northern Ladies were involved in a 0-0 draw.
Prisons Ladies were defeated 1-4 at home by Ashtown Ladies, while Tamale Super Ladies claimed a 1-0 victory over Northern City.
There is just one more round of games until the first half of the season comes to an end.
