Editor in chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper is alerting the Sole Commissioner tasked to investigate payments of judgement debts to watch out for the “triangle of Woyome, Waterville and Michelleti”.
Kweku Baako Jnr said whilst he would not say the “three parties conspired to defraud the nation,” the Sole Commissioner must not “lose guard” on investigating them.
His comments follow a petition sent to the Sole Commissioner by Alfred Agbesie Woyome protesting remarks made by one of the spokespersons of the Commission, Dometi Kofi Sekpor.
The Commissioner in investigating the alleged payment of judgement debts to Woyome asked officials of Michelleti, Waterville and Consar to make an appearance before the commission to assist with investigations.
The officials of the three companies were reported to have told the Commission that Woyome has never been an official of the three companies contrary to claims that he was.
Dometi Kofi Sekpor is reported to have made that information public, an action Woyome was not happy about.
He therefore petitioned the Sole Commissioner and protested what he said is the prejudicial comment made by Mr Sepkor.
Woyome also stated emphatically that at no point did he [Woyome] say anywhere that he is an official of the three companies and for which reason the comments by Sekpor were not only distasteful but prejudicial.
When the issue came up for discussion on the Joy FM and MultiTV Newsfile programme, Saturday, Malik Kweku Baako Jnr admitted not knowing the details of the controversy involving Dometi Kofi Sekpor but was quick to caution the Sole Commissioner, Justice Yaw Appau to be alert when it comes to Woyome, Waterville and Michelleti.
He found it rather curious, how all of sudden Michelleti, Consar and Waterville will ‘wash their hands off’ Woyome.
Baako Jnr said there is a strong connection between Michelleti Waterville and Woyome and the Sole Commissioner must be wary of it.
Quoting a letter written and signed by Woyome on August 18 2009- a letter in which Woyome protested the abrogation of the Waterville contract by the Kufuor administration and further claimed it was through his effort and that of Waterville that Michelleti Company was formed- Baako Jnr said straight away suspicions should have been raised at the Attorney Generals Office.
He explained Michelleti had operated in Ghana for several decades and so for Woyome to be claiming in a letter that it was through his effort that Michelleti came into being in the late 2000s was a piece of information that should have tickled the excitement of any serious person.
