Young, Famous & African buzz on Twitter
#YoungFamousAndAfrican has been trending for days as people share their views about the show on Twitter.
The reality TV series which premiered on March 18 follows a crew of famed, affluent stars as they work and play, flirt and argue in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The British Ghanaian, Peace Hyde has been highly praised for creating & producing the top-notch Netflix original series.
Media personality Bridget Otoo posted a compliment, saying, “Peace Hyde, she is killing it”.
Meanwhile, some Twitter users are wondering why there was no Ghanaian in the cast. Micky_DeUndee posted a Tweet asking which Ghanian should be featured in season 2?
3Music Awards Goes live on Saturday
3musicawards22 is happening live this Saturday at the Grande Arena. The award ceremony which is held annually to celebrate Ghanaian music has grown in recognition over the past few years. The 5th edition will feature live performance from Black Sherif, s3fa, kelvynboy and a host of others.
Official Video ‘Balling’ out by Kofi Jamar
Kofi Jamar, the young Ghanaian rapper from Bantama in Kumasi has taken music fans back to the 1990s with his latest music video for his classic song “Balling. He took to Twitter to share the news in a Tweet. Some of his fans have had some nice words to share about the video.
Twitter user, Richard Oti Tweeted about the new Kofi Jamar tune being an anthem, praising its amazing visuals.
Kaly Jay also believes Kofi Jamar has dropped one of the best videos of the year so far.
Sulley Muntari wins Most Valued Player
Ghana’s legend Sulley Muntari has won his first ever Man of the Match award in the premier league after another impressive and energetic performance on Sunday evening at home against Obuasi Ashanti gold SC.
His team, HeartsOfOakGH defeated Ashanti Gold SC on the matchday in a 2-1 win. Some sports journalists such as Shaban Mohammed and Saddick Adams have tweeted about his recognition.
‘Ashimeru is Ghana’s best midfielder after Partey’– says Asamoah Gyan
Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has hit out at the technical handlers of the Black Stars following the omission of Majeed Ashimeru from the squad to face Nigeria. Gyan labels Ashimeru as the best Ghanaian midfielder after Thomas Partey.
This led #Ashimeru to trend on Tuesday. Gyan’s comment got several media and Sport Journalists reporting as seen in this Tweet by Thierry Nyann. However, following the incident, Gyan has posted an apology on his Twitter handle which has received over 2k Retweets and 16.1k Likes.
SIM Card Registration Extended
#SIMCard was trending on Wednesday as the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation has extended the deadline for the re-registration of SIM cards across the country to 31st July, 2022.
