Ten outstanding customers in the Ashanti north region of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) have been recognised and celebrated for their loyalty and timely payment of water bills.
Among the celebrated customers were four domestic users, three standpipe customers, one institutional client, and two commercial customers, including the renowned, Adonko Bitters Company Limited.

The event was held on Tuesday, 19th November 2024 at Kronum Afrancho in the Ashanti region.
The event highlighted the importance of customer commitment to the service and the impact of consistent water bill payments on the sustainability of water supply in the region.
Management of the water company expressed their profound gratitude for the continued support from these customers, emphasizing that their reliability plays a crucial role in the company's operations.
"We are proud to celebrate our loyal customers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment over the years," Regional Chief Manager for Ashanti North Region stated.

"Their prompt payments ensure that we can continue to provide quality water services to the entire community,” he added.
The company also awarded a number of Ambassadors of the Ghana Water Limited in the region who serve as liaisons in the various communities providing information and feedback between the communities and the company with water-related issues.
The celebration not only recognized the customers' contributions but also aimed to strengthen the partnership between the water company and its users.
It seeks to foster a sense of community and shared responsibility in water conservation.

Regional Chief Manager, Theophilus Tawiah Collins, also presented the financial status of the region at the event, stressing that all water users must honor their payment of bills as the region's arrears were as high as 40 million cedis.
He also touched on the many innovative initiatives the company was carrying out to ease customer’s stress when receiving and paying bills, and lodging complaints.
"The introduction of GWCL Customer App, *1010# allows all to have swift service from GWL at the comfort of their homes or work without any extra charges and hassle,” he added.
