The 6th Volta Trade and Investment Fair-2023 scheduled to take off on Sunday 26th November 2023 is gathering momentum, three days to the grand opening.
Over 200 indigenous and foreign companies are expected to exhibit their products at the fair which would be hosted at the Jubilee Park in Ho.
The Fair aims to build stronger, more sustainable, and prosperous local economies on the African Continent while leveraging the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Several exciting features have been slated alongside the main exhibition of products, artifacts, and tourist sites among others in the Volta Region.
There would be an opening ceremony to set the tone for the two-week Fair, which promises to be an exciting one, providing a platform for business, networking, and learning.
The leading institution in charge of the Fair, the Association of Ghana Industries, would host its national Annual General Meeting in Ho, as part of the activities of the fair. It is themed "Industrialization through Sustainable & Efficient Supply Chains."
The Fair would also celebrate and empower women entrepreneurs, with the 1st Volta Women's Entrepreneurs Summit on the theme "Navigating New Frontiers: Women Entrepreneurs Delivering the AfCFTA Vision."
The 2nd Youth Entrepreneurs Summit, aimed at providing a common platform to nurture youth entrepreneurs would be held under the theme "Bridging New Borders: Amplifying Youth Entrepreneurship in the AfCFTA Era."
Organizers have noticed the core role of sports in the growth of the economy, hence have designed the Sports Investment Summit & Award, to highlight investment opportunities and the imperative need to nurture talents. Key personalities in the field of sports have been paneled to lead insightful discussions at the forum.
A key objective of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair was to highlight the tourism potential of the region. In this regard, the Tourism, Arts & Culture Forum would be staged to explore the rich cultural heritage and potential of the Volta Region in the context of the AfCFTA.
The Horticultural & Youth Innovation Event would give the youth the stage to pitch and put their innovative ideas into action during the fair.
An exciting program most patrons are looking forward to is the Volta Beer Festival, which celebrates local brews, both nonalcoholic and alcoholic.
The Visit Volta Tours was designed to enable dignitaries and other patrons to discover the beauty and uniqueness of the Volta Region through guided tours at various tourist sites.
The indigenous Ghanaian fabric would be specially celebrated at the Kente Festival which would showcase an array of well-crafted Kente in vibrant colors and designs, portraying the traditions of the people of the Volta Region.
The entire two-week Fair would feature nonstop entertainment and fun fairs at the Jubilees Park.
Patrons from across the globe are invited to join the people of the Volta Region at the 6th Volta Trade and Investment Fair to explore new frontiers and unlock the potential of the African continent.
The Fair takes off on Sunday, November 26 to Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the Jubilee Park.
