FAMILY Tree Entertainment, a record label company based in Accra has started a national music tour which promises to shake the very foundations of Ghana and get people talking for a long time.
The national music tour will see two of Ghana’s greatest artistes from unique music backgrounds collaborating to excite the entire nation.
Speaking to the publicity and promotions team for the tour, the dynamic duo, Obour of hiplife fame and A.B Crenstil of highlife fame, indicated Ghana was about to experience what they call a “Music Quake.”
The tour, christened “Best of the Lifes” hiplife meets highlife was named after the latest record album a collaboration between the two greats which have mind scratching and appealing songs like Gyae Su, Moses, Adwoa, Anyen and Juliana among others.
The amalgamation of the two music supremes is a total collaboration and not a partial one. ‘This is one for the future”, Obour remarks as “hiplife would definitely meet highlife’ hinting of a next collaborative album in the near future.
The national tour will be supported by some of the country’s finest music stars.
It commenced on Friday in the Western Region with performances in Tarkwa and Tarkoradi and moves to the other nine regions till it ends with a big concert in the national capital in March 2007.
The tour has its message on road safety, an area Obour has distinguished himself as an artiste and stands out among his peers.
Major lorry parks will be key targets during the tour to enable the artiste take the message of keeping our toads safe by doing what is right to stakeholders.
Family Tree Entertainment also hopes to set up a national music archive with proceeds from the tour to serve as an information bank on music works in Ghana.
The tour is Family Tree Entertainment’s package to Ghanaians as the country braces up to celebrate its golden jubilee.
