Mrs. Courtney Simcoff, a Canadian Voluntary worker and teacher, on Tuesday donated educational items worth GH¢300 to the Atasomanso R/C Primary School in Kumasi.
The items included storybooks, dictionaries, a computer and its accessories, art materials, maps, globe and a sign board.
Presenting the items, Mrs Simcoff, said the gesture was her contribution towards improving teaching and learning in the school where she did a three-month voluntary teaching.
Receiving the items, Madam Juliana Twumasi, Supervisor In-charge of the Kumasi Ach Diocese Catholic Schools, thanked Mrs. Simcoff the gesture and promised that the school would make good use of the items.
Nana Afia Konadu I, Queen Mother of Atasomanso, on behalf of the community, presented a souvenir (Akuaba doll) to Mrs. Simcoff in appreciation of her contribution to the development of education in the community.
