Parliament has endorsed the upcoming Spain-Ghana Tourism and Trade Forum slated from 12 to 14 September at Casa Africa, Las Palmas Spain.
This was disclosed when the organising team, led by Steven Blessing Ackah, head of government relations at UAMDC Spanish Chapter, paid a courtesy call to Dr Ato Panford, the Vice-Chairman for the Parliamentary Select Committee on Tourism, Trade Industry.
The objective of the forum is to analyse the evolution of tourism in Spain and Ghana and study the success cases in the tourism industry.
The delegation from Ghana will also interact with the main trade and tourism companies in Spain.
Also, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between Spain and Ghana to improve tourism between the two countries.
The government of Ghana through the Office of the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena
Okyere- Darko, will lead the Ghanaian delegation which will comprise of Western regional Chamber of Commerce, Spain-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Ghana Tourism Federation, Golden Empire Legacy Ltd, EIB Network and the Ghana Tourism Authority regional office.
As part of the diplomatic cooperation between both countries, the Ambassadors will be in attendance at the forum to provide their technical support.
The organisers of the forum which comprises of the Gran Canarie Chamber of Commerce, Canary Consulting and Trading 2020, the UAE- Africa Consortium and Casa Africa look forward to leading top tourism and trade investors this November in Ghana to complement the agenda of the forum in Spain.
