The Bono Ahafo Regional Security Council is locked up in a meeting, following the assassination of the paramount chief of Seikwa, two days ago.
Police in the region have already launched a manhunt for the suspected killers of Nana Kwaku Gyima Ankoana II.
Meanwhile, some residents in the area have cast doubt on the ability of the Police to trace down the killers.
This is because prior to his killing, the chief had reported threats on his life to the Berekum police but nothing concrete came out of their investigations. Police officers have been deployed in the area to ensure safety and security following the killing of the chief.
Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah, who visited the town Tuesday however, told Joy News that residents of Seikwa blamed the police for not doing enough to prevent the killing.
According to Ohemeng Tawiah, residents are demanding the police to conduct a house- to-house search for the perpetrators instead of just riding in vehicles and running around town.
