The 2019 President Cup encounter between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak has been called off due to heavy rains in Kumasi on Sunday.
The heavy downpour which pounded for several hours before the kickoff rendered the Baba Yara Stadium pitch soggy and unplayable.
Organizers (GHALCA) initially allowed the game to start after inspecting the pitch but called it off after 10 minutes with the scoreline goalless.
Contrary to earlier reports, the game is not coming off on Monday the organizers have announced. A new date would be made known later.
