Member of Parliament (MP) for Lawra in the Upper West region, has improved access to early childhood education enrolment in his constituency.
Anthony Abayifaa Karbo has invested in the construction of nursery schools at Babile and Kuole.
He disclosed that the procurement process for the construction of a third nursery facility at Zambo has completed and work will soon start.
The Deputy Transport Minister was speaking at the 43rd celebration of Kobine festival.
Mr Karbo has also been working to improve clean drinking water facilities in the community by commissioning the drilling of 155 boreholes, 65 of which have been completed, reports Joy News’ Upper West correspondent, Rafiq Salam.
He called on the people to unite for the development of the Lawra municipality.
“We can never change Lawra unless we are united devoid of pettiness, zonal factionalisms, and any forms of division that will affect our peaceful coexistence as a people,” he said.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was in attendance.
