A music video of new artiste J.Derobie’s new song ‘Odo Bra’ has been met with mixed reactions from fans.
The new video was filmed at Nzulezu a small town in the Western Region of Ghana popular for its stilted houses.
Many fans applauded the artiste and his team for promoting Ghana with the new video during the ‘Year of Return’ agenda.
After Empawa, a music production house, shared snippets of the video on Facebook, some fans were thrilled to see the new works of J.Derobie.
Others thought that the song is not as good as J.Derobie’s old songs explaining he could have done better.
“Not his style. He should have stayed true to his dancehall. He just did afro-beats because he felt it would give him the attention bt... Ah well. The video is dope,” one fan wrote on Empawa’s Facebook page.
Another said the dancehall and reggae genre suits the artiste better.

J.Derobie burst into the music scene after he entered the Empawa100 program with his song ‘Poverty’. The singer identified immediately as a Reggae/Dancehall artiste and later released ‘Irie’ to which many fans think he is swaying away from.
However, in an interview with Joy News in September, J.Derobie said that ‘Odo bra’ was his way of proving to fans he is diverse.
He stated that he did not want to be solely associated with one genre of music when he is equally good in others.
