She said her South African friend gave her the name because of her fashion sense.
“Mama Zimbi was a name given to me by my South African friend who thought my fashion sense made me look like a South African,” she narrated on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Monday.
When asked whether the name does not seem complicated to her listeners, she stated that “the name is lovely to pronounce especially when it is pronounced well trust me it sounds good because it rhymes.”
She further expressed that “the name sounds nice apart from the fact that people pronounce it wrongly sometimes.”
Akumaa added that, the name is unique and whenever it is mentioned, people tend to find out who she is and that benefits her in terms of business.
