The Chief Executive Director of Stanbic Bank, Alhassan Andani, says he is hoping to employ the services of various traditional leaders in North to help halt the rural-urban migration of young people from there.
He said many of the brilliant young people from the North end up doing menial jobs for survival in the south because of the drift.
Speaking on the Super Morning Show, on Joy FM, Mr Andani said he was going to put in place programmes that can put the talented young people in the North to work.
"I'm a traditional ruler and I'm going to take the job very seriously. It has been a concern of mine and some colleagues on how we can stop the drift of these brilliant young people into the south," he told Kojo Yankson, host of the show.
The Stanbic Bank Chief Executive Director hopes that the programmes he will introduce can go a long way to improve household incomes and education.
He also advised other young persons to not be in a rush to succeed.
"Go through the paces, put yourself through school, just concentrate on learning," Mr Andani added.
