Some 200 unemployed youth in the Agona Swedru Municipality have been given a major breakthrough to acquire skills and apprenticeship for their future enterprise.
The youth are to select any apprenticeship of their choice and their training and start-ups would be taken care of by Sinapi Aba, a savings and loans company.
Per the agreement, Sinapi Aba is expected to provide all that the masters of the apprentices would need to ensure that their training and skill acquisition is effective.
Sinapi Aba has in times past been supporting youths that desire of acquiring skills and apprenticeship but do not have the wherewithal to do so.

Coordinator for the Youth Apprenticeship Program of Sinapi Aba, Margaret Owusu says so far 4000 of such persons have been supported across the country and currently 200 youth from the Agona Swedru area are being considered.
Those that have been selected are taking through a series of training to prepare their hearts and minds before their apprenticeship and skill acquisition starts
“We have 200 people now that we going to take through the program. They just have to choose an apprenticeship of their choice and we will settle all arrangements with their master. They do not have to pay anything,” she explained
“Beneficiaries of the program must be people that are willing and are determined to be lifted up of their present situation,” she emphasized.
The Agona Swedru Branch Manager of Sinapi Aba, Clement Nii Ayi indicated the gesture is a clear demonstration that the Sinapi Aba is a strong tower in terms of savings and loan companies and they are confident of leading through these programs.
Beneficiaries were given their tools to enable them to undergo the training. In all 85% of those selected for the program are women while 15% are men
