James Blunt broke his little finger after stage diving.
The You're Beautiful singer injured himself after jumping into the crowd at a concert in Ashville, North Carolina, in the US, and being mobbed by excited fans last month.
He said: "I don't know what made me do it. I jumped off stage at the end and was chased by women, and men, in the crowd. I started running, and the next thing I knew I had broken my finger.
"I don't even know how I did it. I can't play the piano but I can still play the guitar with my remaining fingers!"
Despite his injury, Blunt is still planning to fulfil his plans to perform for troops in Kosovo - where he served as part of the Nato peacekeeping force in 1999 as an officer in the British Army.
He said: "It makes sense for me to do that because I served there."
This will not be the first time Blunt has played a concert in Kosovo.
In 2006, he performed in front of 500 troops on a bill which also included opera star Katherine Jenkins.
