Radio and television personality Mark Pilgrim has been admitted to hospital after a heart attack, a Joburg radio station said.
94.7 Highveld Stereo radio station manager Ravi Naidoo said Pilgrim was being treated for an obstructed coronary artery on Tuesday and would be in hospital for the rest of the week.
"The management and staff of Primedia Broadcasting wish Mark a speedy recovery," Naidoo said.
Pilgrim was appointed as the host of new M-Net reality show Power of 10, which is currently in production.
"We are saddened by the sudden heart attack and are waiting to hear from him and his doctors before making any decisions about the way the production will proceed," said producer Carl Fischer.
Pilgrim was previously the host of South Africa's Big Brother show.
