The Ghana Education Service (GES), on Friday released the 2008 placement of candidates under the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).
A statement signed by Mr Samuel Bannerman-Mensah, the Service Director General said 139,478 out of 173,315 qualified candidates have so far been placed. The placement includes 1,579 re-entry candidates. It said the result of the placement would be available at the Junior High Schools (JHS), Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical Institutes from Friday September 26, 2008.
The statement asked candidates to access their placements by texting only their index numbers to the following mobile service short code numbers:
MTN short code 1755 or 1756, KASAPA short code 1755 and ONETOUCH short code 7777.
It said fresh students were expected to report to their respective institutions on October 14, 2008 and reminded regional and district directors of education as well as heads of institutions to take note of the date of re-opening.
