The travelling public will from October 28 be able to book Tuesday flights on Lufthansa from Accra to Frankfurt, with onward connections to hundreds of world-wide destinations.
The German carrier currently operates flights on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but is making the modification as part of its winter schedule in order to offer more choice and convenience to passengers.
“Currently we don’t fly on Mondays and Tuesdays, but in the future we will fly on Tuesdays -- thereby improving the business traveller’s connectivity starting from this winter. The first Tuesday flight is scheduled for 28 October, 2014,” Kevin Markette, Country Manager of the airline, told B&FT
“From the Ghanaian perspective, we will do our best to offer as many Ghanaian touches as we can. One of them is the catering on-board. We have received positive feedback from travellers. We also work on prices to ensure that they are competitive and attractive. Ultimately, it’s one of our goals to increase our flights to Accra to a daily flight,” he said.
The airline currently offers one of the best all-inclusive fares to various destinations in Europe and North America.
Lufthansa currently offers one of the most extensive networks from Accra with connections via Frankfurt to over 100 cities in Europe, 18 in the USA and Canada and six in South America. It also connects passengers to a variety of Asian destinations.
