Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), one of Ghana’s leading indigenous and customer oriented banks, has today demonstrated its commitment to supporting Ghanaians to achieve their hopes and dreams by initiating a deposit promotion campaign called the UMB New You.
The campaign which runs from October 7 until the end of December 2014 is in partnership with the National Lottery Authority on the Caritas Lottery platform.
Primarily targeted at existing and prospective customers, the New You campaign reinforces UMB’s customer-centric philosophy and it’s you first platform. The campaign encourages Ghanaians to dream, to strive for that which was previously unobtainable, but may now be possible through the assistance of UMB.
Whether one is dreaming about a new car, furthering one’s education or purchasing a bigger home for one’s family, the UMB New You promotion is designed to help facilitate those dreams.
In connection with the UMB New You promotion, UMB will be donating money to a charity in Ghana that has championed the efforts of education in Ghana as a way of contributing to the development of Ghana.
The ultimate prize of the UMB New You promotion is GHC100, 000 and the second prize is a Hyundai ix35. Other prizes include Samsung Galaxy tabs and UMB branded gift items.
In order to win these amazing prizes, customers must accumulate at least 75 points in order to qualify to be entered in the grand draw for the ultimate and second prizes.
The Samsung Galaxy tabs will be awarded in monthly draws at the end of every month during the promotion. Customers earn points by depositing multiples of GHC200 into their accounts and points are also awarded for other banking actions, including 50 points for opening an account with UMB.
Existing customers will automatically receive 50 points at the beginning of the promotion. With every deposit, all New You promotion participants will be informed of their point balance through immediate SMS alerts.
Ms. Nilla Selormey, Managing Director/CEO of UMB, commented that “With the GHC100,000 reward from UMB, you can become a New You whether that is with a new car, house, business, or a trip around the world. UMB is excited to be your partner in helping you to achieve the dream of a New You.”
Ms. Selormey also elaborated on the charitable aspect of the New You promotion. “Helping Ghanaians achieve their dreams is important to UMB, but we also wanted to use the New You promotion as a way to give back to the country that we are proud to call home.”
