President of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners (IHRMP), John Wilson, says he will lead the institute to become a professional human resource body of choice in the coming days.
Mr Wilson said this when he addressed HR Practitioners at the institute's Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, November 7, 2014.
“In the coming year, we shall keep in focus and grow our core activity of professional training and development of our members by introducing and delivering relevant and exciting programmes at the Centre and the Regions...we are resolute in our determination to make our Institute the professional HR body of choice”, Mr Wilson added.
The President of the Institute informed the stakeholders that the Institute’s 5-year strategic plan ended last year and has been replaced by another growth plan that was launched by the new leadership of the institution.

Executive Director of IHRMP, Ebenezer Agbettor, who welcomed the stakeholders said 2014 has been an interesting and eventful year.
"What I can say is that we thank God for how far He has brought us. We have certainly made some good strides in the past year and on that basis one can say the future looks bright for us”, he said.
In a speech read on his behalf, former Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Kwesi Botchwey, emphasised the need for HR practitioners to ensure productivity at workplaces match rising cost of remuneration.
