Rlg Communications Ghana Ltd has been granted the International Standards Organisation (ISO) 9001:2008 certification by the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA).
Rlg Communications Ghana Ltd, thus becomes the second member of the Rlg Group to be issued with the international standard certification after Rlg Communications Nigeria Ltd was issued ISO 9001:2008 in June this year by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
The issuance of the GS/ISO 9001:2008 Approval Certificate No. MSCS/C0014 follows rigorous assessment carried out by the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) after an application by Rlg to have its Quality Management Systems (QMS) audited and certified in compliance with international standards and best practices.
ISO 9000 is a generic quality management system standard. It represents a series of standards and only ISO 9001 is a certification standard in the series. The requirements for QMS are the same, be it USA, UK, Japan, China, India or elsewhere and it is a good architecture of quality management system.
The International Standard ISO 9001: 2008 (latest version in ISO 9000 series) was officially published on 15-November-2008.
"This obviously strengthens our resolve to ensure Research and Development drives our entire operation from conception through to product design ", says Nathaniel Jones, Head of Rlg Ghana operations.
The latest certification makes Rlg Ghana's services such as “assembling of laptops, desktops and mobile phones (NACE CODE: C26.2.0 & C26.3.0)” conformed to the requirements of GSA ISO 9001:2008 standard and is consequently certified for the next 3 years, according to a communication signed by the Executive Director of the Ghana Standards Organisation dated 10th November, 2014.
Rlg Communications Group is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) based in China with well-equipped state-of- the-art Assembly Plants in Ghana, Nigeria and Gambia.
