The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Marius Haas, has handed over the Order of the Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mr. Stephen Antwi, President of the Ghanaian-German Economic Association (GGEA).
The honour was bestowed on him by the German Federal President Horst Köhler, a statement by Ms. Ruth Mensah, Public Relations Officer of the German Embassy in Accra said on Monday.
The statement said the ceremony took place at a Lunch hosted by the GGEA with the M. Hanna Tetteh, Minister of Trade and Industry as the guest of honour.
Mr. Antwi was honoured for his services rendered as a lawyer to the German Embassy as well as for his relentless and successful efforts to promote trade and business between Ghana and Germany and for enlarging the operational basis of the GGEA and turning it into a comprehensive and profitable organization.
