The Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr Benardino Leon Gross has paid a courtesy call on former President Jerry Rawlings and his wife Nana Konadu at their Ridge residence in Accra. Accompanied by the Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, Madam Julio Olmo and other Spanish government and embassy officials, Mr Gross said he was on an African tour to seek and consolidate areas of cooperation with African governments. Former President Rawlings thanked Mr Gross for the courtesy call and noted that the Spanish government’s assistance was required primarily in areas of agriculture, security, education and drugs laws enforcement. Mr Gross had earlier paid a courtesy call on President Mills at the Castle, Osu.
