The Headmistress of Kaneshie Bishops 1&2 Junior High School, madam Comfort Nyarko, has been demoted.
Metro Director of Education, Nii Okaidjah Dinsey says madam Comfort Nyarko has admitted all the charges leveled against her and apologized for her behavior.
Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM, Nii Okaidjah stated that even though the headmistress, Madam Comfort Nyarko admitted her mistakes, she considered the hard working nature of the departed French teacher hence her actions.
According to Nii Okaijah Dinsey, the kind of punishment given to Madam Nyarko has been stated in the code of conduct of the Ghana Education Service.
Nii Okaijah was speaking in reaction to some students of Bishops 1&2 schools who were sacked from their various classrooms during instructional hours, for their parent’s inability to pay a GHC 5 levy contribution to the funeral of their departed French teacher.
Mr. Okaijah used the platform of Asempa FM to caution all Heads to refrain from such acts because anyone who goes against the law will be dealt with.
