A daughter of Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has completed two weeks of self-isolation and been reunited with the first family, a spokesperson said.
She had returned from the UK last month and gone into isolation in compliance with the country’s directive to passengers arriving from countries with confirmed coronavirus cases.
Aliyu Abdullahi, the spokesperson for First Lady Aisha Buhari, said she was "normal, healthy and well", but did not disclose her identity.
The first couple has five children together: four daughters and a son.
Mr Abdullahi said the president's daughter had gone into isolation despite her “privileged” status.
The First Lady shared a photo of her reunion with her daughter:
It is a thing of joy & gratitude to Almighty God to reunite with my daughter after she had been in isolation for 14 days immediately she landed in Nigeria. While I’m wishing all those infected for a speedy recovery, I pray for the end of this pandemic. . #AbujaScaleUp pic.twitter.com/t3KyJ3d29n
