Xodus Communications Limited, organisers of ‘Forty under 40’ awards, have congratulated two of their previous awardees, Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye and Laud Anthony Basing, for their recent feats.
The company in a statement noted that the achievements of the two gentlemen give “credence to the selection and the jury decision making process at Xodus Communications, the leading organizers of Industry Awards in Ghana.”
Ledzokuku MP, Dr Bernard Okoe-Boye, who is also the Board Chair of the Kole-Bu Teaching Hospital, was recently elevated to the position of Deputy Health Minister by President Akufo-Addo.
Another awardee, Laud Anthony Basing of Incas Diagnostics, collaborated with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to develop a Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kit to help test for the novel coronavirus.
“Clearly these RDT kits will augment the nation’s surveillance testing protocols and accelerate the answer to incidence rate in Ghana,” statement signed by Events Director of Xodus Communications, Richard Abbey Junior, noted.
According to the Events Director, putting the spotlight on these young achievers will not only celebrate them but also build a strong platform for them, by giving voice and opportunities to the next generation of industry pacesetters while building a positive attitude in the youth to strive for excellence.
“We at Xodus believe that it is vital to celebrate achievers when they are alive rather than decorating caskets and funeral grounds in honour of the dead,” it added.
Forty under 40 Awards
The award, which is an initiative of Xodus Communications Limited, seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation's most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age 40, from a wide range of industries.
The winners are selected based on commitment to business growth, professional excellence and community service and have risen up the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age as result of this.
The Awards among others, is also aimed at recognising and celebrating 40 emerging leaders under the age of 40, who demonstrate or impact personally and/ or professionally through their exceptional leadership.
Winners in each category must have demonstrated and be seen to have encouraged upcoming youth that excellence and success can be achieved at a very tender age.
