Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo has been appointed onto the newly constituted 10-member Accra Great Olympics Board.
Absent on the board is former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President, Fred Pappoe, whom over the years seem to have preferred to remain a supporter without any leadership role.
Familiar leaders of the club over the years include Alhaji Tallal Fatal, His Excellency Amarkai Amarteifio and Oluboi Commodore, who is currently the General Manager of the club.
New members are, Nik Amartefio, Kwame Asuah Takyi and Professor Albert Sackey. Perry Doku and Ambassador R.O Solomon complete members of the board with Kwesi Austin as Secretary.
Fianoo joins the board with enormous experience as an administrator having served as Executive Committee (now Executive Council) member from 2005 to 2011.
He led Ashanti Gold as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for ten years, winning the league title for the Miners in 2015.
Fianoo and Ambassador RO Solomon were part of the Ghana FA team that travelled to South Africa to understudy how the PSL is managed and are expected to bring their experience to help catapult the 'Agorsue' family to be competitive.
The Board will convene a meeting later this month to strike out the targets they intend to achieve.
