Activa International Insurance Ghana has presented a package of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the National Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital.
The items included face masks, medical scrubs, hospital gowns and head-covers to assist the frontline health workers at the cardio centre in their fight against covid- 19.
“This donation is aimed at our frontline health workers especially here at the Korle Bu Cardiothoracic Centre. Covid-19 affects key organs of the body including the heart and lungs. We believe this presentation will go a long way to keep our frontline workers safe” Benjamin Yamoah MD of Activa International Insurance told JoyBusiness.

Receiving the items, Director of the National Cardiothoracic Centre, Dr Lawrence Sereboe called on other corporate entities to provide aid to the Cardio centre.
“We appreciate the kind gesture by Activa in the donation of these PPEs. Much appeal is still being made to Corporate Ghana to aid frontline health workers in these times,” he said.
