The Deputy Sports Minister has revealed that the former Black Star coach, Kwasi Appiah is being engaged on his salary arrears.
Perry Okudzeto speaking on Joy News’ ‘Beyond the Lockdown’ Sunday said government still owes the former Coach because of some issues that came up before the termination of his contract with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Although he refused to disclose the issues, Mr Okudzeto said once they are settled, the former coach will be appropriately remunerated.
“I know that the [Sports] Ministry is in talks with Kwasi Appiah and at the appropriate time, ones the issues are ironed out, he would be paid,” he was categorical.

The former Black Stars coach on Friday, May 22, in a third letter the GFA, demanded the payment of his salary arrears, a sum of $180,000, owed him.
According to Mr Appiah, should the GFA fail to acknowledge receipt as they have in the last two instances, he would be to forced to proceed to FIFA to demand the money, as enshrined in his contract.
