The Concern Voters Movement (CVM) says some promises outlined by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will not make former president John Mahama regain the presidency.

The Movement described the promises disclosed by the Communication Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi, are empty which lacks quantitative and qualitative understanding.

A statement signed by the founder and president of CVM, Razak Kojo Opoku said the mismanagement of the NDC had caused the collapsed of financial institutions which the New Patriotic Party under president Akufo-Addo restored.

It said the president took the bold intervention to safeguard the funds of depositors, as well as saved indigenous banks such as Universal Merchant Bank, Prudential Bank, Agricultural Development Bank and National Investment Bank.

The statement said in 2015, former President Mahama failed to pay customers of DKM.

"The NDC has failed to understand that the size of government doesn't matter, but the ability to judiciously use the resources available and minimize corruption," it said.

According to the Movement, the NDC who were and still against the Free senior high school (SHS) policy but they are now promising free Technical and Vocational Education (TVET).

It questioned this saying that is already included and is running concurrently with the Free SHS Policy.

"The proposed National Apprenticeship Program by the NDC is a plagiarised version of the NPP Presidential Pitch and Business Resource Centre  programme which is mandated to promote and support the national Industrialization agenda of the Akufo-Addo government, and serve as a one-stop shop for business development, job creation and investment. 

It said president Akufo-Addo's has already assured Ghanaians the construction of Regional Hospitals in the six newly created Regions and hospitals in every District beginning with the Construction of 88 across the Country.

It, therefore, says Mr Mahama's proposed "Onipa Nua" Hospital Ship is just like the one-time premium policy promised by former president Mills in 2008 and nothing new. 

According to the Movement, with the commencement of the construction of international standard Infectious Disease Isolation and Treatment Facility funded by Ghana COVID-19 Private Sector Fund, there is no argument the current administration is on course.
