The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison says her ministry is working hard to solicit Vitamin C for all Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) beneficiaries to boost their immune system.
According to her, taking Vitamin C alongside practising other health protocols will help protect the beneficiaries from contracting the coronavirus.
In an interview with Adom News, Cynthia Morrison also appealed to LEAP beneficiaries to make good use of their allowances.
Speaking at Agona Swedru during a monitoring exercise, the Gender Minister encouraged the aged to eat more local foods and obey all the health protocols since Covid-19 is real.
On his part, the Assistant Director of LEAP, Myles Ongoh charged Ghanaians and residents to gain more education on Covid-19; how it is spread, and what can be done to prevent it.
"We need to educate people because a lot of people still don't believe that the disease is real.
"This is because they are yet to see infected patients.
"That is why we are here with health personnel to sensitize them and let them understand that the disease is real and what they can do to avoid it," he told Adom News.
