Residents of Keta and Anloga has called on President Nana Akufo-Addo to ensure the realisation of various projects promised by his administration in 2016.
The President is expected to tour parts of the Volta Region on Thursday.
His visit come after his predecessor, John Dramani Mahama who left the Region last week.
Ahead of his visit, some residents told Joy News’ Ivy Setordjie that they want projects, particularly the Keta harbour to be construed as well as the deplorable roads and acute water problems addressed.
“Projects have been promised to us for a very long time and we really want him to commence and complete it for us,” a resident said.
Another added, “My expectation is to see the fishing harbour he promised done. And also construct the roads, provide jobs for the youth.”
However, some optimistic people believed the President’s visit was to commission projects which will contribute to the development of the region.
“We are ones again excited about the visitation of the President because the nightmare of the people of Sogakope, Keta and Anloga and its environs not having access to portable drinking water in the 21st century is going to be a thing of the past.”
