The Ghana-India Trade Advisory Chamber has launched its Western Regional Branch in Takoradi.
President of the Chamber, Derrick Oduro, has been explaining the strategic role the chamber will play in deepening Ghana-India trade relations.
The prestigious event drew many from as far as Accra, Central region, in addition to the host region. Several dignitaries ranging from Sugandh Rajaram, Indian High Commissioner to Ghana; Carlos Ahenkorah, Tema West MP; Abraham Dwuma Odoom, MP Twifo Atti Morkwa, Dr. Kobby Okyere Darko-Western Regional and host Minister, Madam Anne-Rita Solano- Executive Director CCI France (French Chamber), Nana Adwoa Eduafowa II Queen mother Gomoa Dago and other Chiefs, the President of the Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce, and many other dignitaries graced the occasion to make it a successful launch.
The advisory chamber has representation in 15 countries currently, after being in inception for exactly two years this September. As part of its mission to create pathways and networks for bilateral trade between Ghana and India across the globe, the president of GITAC saw fit to bring such benefits to the Western Region of Ghana.
Part of the various interventions by the council includes:
● The GITAC-ROC Partnership: This partnership is built on integrity, trust, transparency, and the good reputation and track record of both organisations. This partnership allows the chamber to serve as a liaison, as well as grant non-members access to the special package available for Economic Citizenship in Canada at a more affordable rate with a flexible payment plan exclusively available through membership with the chamber.
● PARTNERSHIP CHAMBER OF AGRIBUSINESS: Another landmark worth celebrating is the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Chamber of Agribusiness on 20th August 2020. The CEO Mr. Anthony Morrison and GITAC have plans to improve and increase bilateral cooperation in Agribusiness between Ghana and India. They look forward to engaging with major stakeholders within the Indo-Ghana circles and will continue to strive for excellence in this collaborative venture for the ultimate betterment of both Ghana and India.
● LOYALTY CARD: Another phenomenon, members can anticipate pending its launch in the coming months is the GITAC Loyalty Advantage Card, where chamber members and organisations will have the exclusive opportunity to join a specially curated list of service providers who will be able to provide services and other product offerings to all loyalty cardholders at a discounted rate thereby attracting the larger Indo-Ghanaian market and a natural expansion of the organisation’s customer base.
