The Ghana Football Association (GFA) says some of the individuals involved in Anas’ ‘Number 12’, aired 2 years ago, have been charged.
According to them, the Association’s Prosecutor is in charge of the case and has begun involving processes.
Former Greater Accra Regional Football Association Chairman, Nii Komiete Doku and Mr. Kofi Manu have both been charged for abuse of position contrary to Article 25(1) of the GFA Code of Ethics, 2019.
They were also charged with bribery, against Article 27(1) and (2) of the GFA Code of Ethics, 2019.
These two personalities are expected to make available written Statements of Defence to the GFA Secretariat before 4:00 pm or through dc@ghanafa.org on or before Thursday, September 24, 2020.
However, they are allowed an option for personal hearing before the GFA Ethics Committee on a date and time yet to be communicated.
The Ghana Football Association mentioned that, should any of the two men fail to choose an option, the case will be adjudged without their presence.
Meanwhile, other incriminated individuals will be served charge sheets by the Association’s Prosecutor in the coming days.
This comes after the GFA officially requested investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to provide it with full recordings of each incident.
