Director for Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture (NCC), Socrate Sarfo, has explained the reason behind his tears in a viral video of him shedding tears.
According to him, the tears were because even though the incumbent government has done so much for the arts industry, dissemination of information concerning such achievements is low.
A few weeks ago, Mr Sarfo who doubles as a filmmaker, was reported to have publicly expressed his disappointment in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for neglecting him.
He stated that some celebrities who rallied behind the NPP four years ago," are getting tired because the frustration is too much".
But on Joy FM's Showbiz A-Z with George Quaye, Socrates made clarifications.
"It was a cry for information because, after years of calling for help from the then NDC government, all we got as an achievement for arts in those days is Hyundai i10 cars that were shared to a few of the party's faithful.
"Now, the ruling party has done quite a lot and there's no flow of information," he said.
He added, “There’s a government that has not performed but has loud mouthed people out there, and a government doing a lot but silent and that’s the challenge of the NPP government”.
