Singer Wendy Shay has revealed that she has received a proposition from an artiste to deliberately engage in a feud.
The ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker revealed to her Twitter followers on Tuesday that the pretentious feud comes with monetary benefits.
Taking to Twitter she expressed her shock at the offer, writing: “Wow what has happened to hard work??”
Wendy Shay used the opportunity to advise her colleagues to work hard at their craft rather than using quibbles for attention.
Meanwhile, Wendy Shay is not new to beefing in the industry.
In 2019 she was involved in a beef with Afrobeats artiste Kelvyn Boy after he supposedly snubbed her at the Shatta-Stonebwoy press conference.
The two only resolved their differences recently and released a song 'Odo'.
Wendy Shay was also in a feud with her former record label mate Fantana. The latter had alleged that the Wendy and their manager Bullet had bullied, tortured and sidelined her since she joined the label.
Her outburst followed an Instagram post by Bullet which called Wendy Shay and two other artistes with the label the "The True RuffTown".
Wendy Shay and Bullet, however, dismissed the allegation.
The beef continued in 2020 when Fantana had said that Wendy Shay did not really have hit songs or works that can give her international recognition and went on to tag Wendy as a local champion.
Wendy, who did not appreciate the words took to her Instagram page to call out the ‘Girls Hate on Girls’ singer in both English and German, for only creating news but not hit songs.
Fantana immediately went on Instagram to address the issue, calling Wendy “Uncle Shay” in her response.
Rufftown Records, in May, sought to cancel the contract it had with Fantana adding that her statement and expletive comments during her live Instagram session have dented the hard-earned reputation of the company.
