The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has stressed that the track record of the NDC under the leadership of John Mahama clearly demonstrates the ability of the NDC flagbearer to work with all Ghanaians for improved livelihoods and national development.
Interacting with the Chiefs and people of the Central Region during a tour, Prof. Opoku Agyeman reminded residents of the developmental agenda that Mahama pursued during his administration and highlighted the fact that elections are about development.
She said that electoral choices are informed by the ability to lead and effectively implement clear developmental policies for the country, adding that a vote for John Dramani Mahama should be an obvious choice.
She also said the former President has a proven track record of delivering on his promises, and that he will deliver on the programmes outlined in the political party’s ‘People's Manifesto."
She added that the policies in the manifesto are designed to meet the needs of all segments of the Ghanaian society.
Prof. Opoku Agyemang reiterated that the NDC ensures equitable distribution of the country’s resources among the various administrative areas of the country.
She seized the opportunity to emphasize the need for peace before, during and after the December 7th elections.
She called on young people to disallow themselves from be used by politicians to create confusion at polling centers during the December elections.
The Central Region tour saw her visit Twifo Atti morkwa, Hemang Lower Denkyira, Mfantseman, Ajumako Enyan Essiam, Asikuma Odoben Brakwa, Ekumfi, Gomoa West, Central and East, Agona West and East, Awutu Senya East and West constituencies.
