Nigerian singer Wizkid, on Thursday, slammed his colleague, Reekado Banks, announcing the release of a new song amid the ongoing EndSARS protest.
According to him, Nigeria is not in a good place for the former Mavin Records signee to promote new music.
“Delete this dude ! Can’t believe you’re even doing this at a time like this. Old song ! #endsars fool!” Wizkid wrote in a tweet.
This comes after Reekado Banks faced backlash when he tweeted that his latest single titled ‘Omo Ologo’ featuring Wizkid was dropping on Friday.
“Out of control, gbedu must drop. This one with my brother @wizkidayo “OMO OLOMO” midnight dropping Fire Still on the matter !!! #EndSWAT #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality,’’ his tweet read.
In response, Wizkid, who had postponed the release of his album, ‘Made in Lagos’ because of the protests, called Banks a clout chaser.
Hours later, Wizkid deleted the tweet some users called harsh.
Many Twitter users were not pleased with Wizkid's reactions stating that the 'Fever' hitmaker could have addressed Banks privately.
