Amidst controversies surrounding trust for the genuineness and effectiveness of the Ghana Police Service following Nigeria’s #EndSARs protests, a Linkedin user recounts his experience with Ghanaian Police officers on Linkedin.
In what Noble Wisdom Dordoe titles “Police arrest me turn blessings” he tells of how he got entangled in a trinity of predicaments.
He was missing en route to Tema, Police had stopped his vehicle, and worse of all, he was broke.
"Either I pay GH¢100 or court straight oh. I got tired of begging and they took me to their station. I have to see their senior station officer before court," Wisdom writes.
He further narrates, in what most people will describe as a plot twist, how the said "boss" was a former dispatch rider at his Fidelity Bank branch whom he had assisted by purchasing forms to facilitate application into the Police Service.
"He announced to all the officers that I am the reason why he is a Police officer now. Unbelievably, the man gave me Ghs 500 for fuel home and took my contact," he added.
Many say it's a mere coincidence, but Mr. Dordoe completes his chronicle agreeing with others that believe in karma. He noted that "little help years back has come to save me".
The post has since generated over 2000 engagements, with the majority stating in its comment section that they have been inspired to give more.
