Didn't manage to book in for a hair cut before lockdown 2.0? Don't worry, long hair is easily the most versatile of all lengths. You can wear it pulled into a ponytail, bundled into buns, braided, twisted or left loose.
Whether you're busy and want it all off your face or have a little extra time to experiment, long hair gives you the ability to play with styles in a way that short hair simply doesn't.
That's not to say lobs, bobs, and pixie crops aren't great, too (and we can't deny we've toyed with the idea of switching to shoulder skimming strands), but the fact remains that long hair takes years and years to grow, so any decision to lob it off needs to be carefully made.
That said, you can always seek a little extra help if you do have shorter hair, with natural-looking and totally undetectable hair extensions that can give you the length that you crave in an instant.
Plus, with more time spent at home than ever before, Instagrammers, influencers and even our pals have been dishing up daily ideas for how to up our hair game, and top hair stylists like Justine Marjan and Sarah Angius have been dropping tutorials on Instagram and TikTok.
One top tip if you're worried you lack styling prowess? Have a stack of accessories to amp up a basic ponytail, or clip hair away from your face. Keep a headband handy for any last-minute Zoom meetings and have a go at different braids and buns. Often, they're easier to do than you'd think.
And then there's the now renowned sock curls that have dominated our social media feeds for the past few months. The technique, which requires nothing more than a few pairs of socks, has shot to fame for its easy, heat-free voluminous curls. All you have to do is weave individual socks through towel-dried sections of hair, and leave to dry. It's as simple as that.
And, if you want to keep your hair in good nick, in between, it's worth taking a look at our round-up of the best split end serums to heat protection sprays and deep conditioning hair masks.

The best thing about having long hair is being able to experiment with pretty and creative styles. We adore this part plait, part down 'do.

Want to do something a little different with your long plait? How about a chic twisted style, like this one? Scruff it up to make it look super beachy.

Romantic yet still rock'n'roll, we loved Hailee Steinfeld's long, tousled hair. The key is a perfect parting and volume in the roots and mid-lengths.

What makes long hair even better? More length. Kim Kardashian is flaunting her super long hair on social media lately. Want to get the look? Buy some clip-in extensions and go heavy on the texture spray.
