The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has intimated that his government would resist any attempt by the incumbent government to subvert the will of Ghanaian electorate.
Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, he indicated that his party has won the majority of the seats in parliament after the 2020 polls.
This he said gives him the upper hand over his opponent.
He also warned the Akufo-Addo government against the use of security officials to disrupt election results.
"We want to warn the government to desist from using the military to subvert results. We are not going to sit for the will of the people to be subverted.
"Some of what is happening are unacceptable and Nana Akufo-Addo continues to show credentials that are very undemocratic," he emphasized.
Mr Mahama also mentioned that the flipping of some major seats belonging to the NPP is an indication that the electorate are ready for change.
“It is clear that the Ghanaian people want a change in this country, Ghanaians are tired of the Akufo-Addo government," he explained.
Mr. Mahama used the platform to urge supporters to remain calm ahead of the final verdict from the Electoral Commission.
