Ghana Education Service (GES) has released a new academic calendar for 2020/21 academic year for KG, Primary, Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS).
The release follows President Akufo-Addo's 21st address to the nation on government's management on the reopening of schools.
“All students in SHS 1 will start classes from March 10, with all students embarking on a single-track academic calendar.
"Their seniors in SHS 2 and SHS 3 will, however, return to school from January 18,” he announced.

Per the calendar issued by GES, students in SHS 1 will have 1,080 and 1,440 contact hours respectively within two semesters.

Students in SHS 2 who will still be on the Gold and Green Track will both have 1,440 contact hours.
