The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has served notice that there will be power cuts in parts of Accra beginning Thursday, February 11, 2021.
According to the power distributor, the planned blackouts are to enable a contractor to commence excavation works to interconnect the Pokuase Bulk Supply Point to the Kanda and Airport substations.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, ECG listed the affected areas which include Airport Residential Area, Mamoobi, Accra Girls, ECG Roman Ridge District office, Kotobabi Polyclinic and Alajo.
The statement also indicated that the areas will experience a six-hour daily power cut between 10 am and 4 pm for a period of seven days.
