State funeral arrangements are underway for Tanzania's President John Magufuli who died on Wednesday of a “heart condition”.
Vice-President Samia Suluhu Hassan is due to address the nation on Friday on the burial date, as well as on activities that will precede Mr Magufuli's burial, according to the government spokesman Hassan Abbas.
Public viewing of President Magufuli's body will be done in the commercial hub of Dar es Salaam, the capital Dodoma, the western town of Mwanza and in his home town of Chato.
The president's coffin will also be paraded through major roads, the government spokesman said.
Condolence books will be distributed countrywide for the public to pay their respects.
