The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has pleaded with Ghanaians not to let their guard down as they mark the Easter season.
The Commission said, the populace must diligently observe the Covid-19 safety protocols.
In its Easter message, NCCE also reminded members of the general public who were "vaccinated to keep their cards intact and remember to go for the second dose when available."
It further also urged "those yet to take the jab to get ready to participate in the ongoing COVID-19 Vaccination exercise, in order that we can together win the fight against the disease."
As Easter celebrations begin on Good Friday across the country, the Commission conveyed its warmest felicitations to all Christians.
With the alarming rate of road accidents, NCCE urged Ghanaians to exercise restraint on the roads during this festive season to prevent the occurrence of accidents.
The NCCE also encouraged citizens to be unified during this holy season and put Ghana first in all deliberations.
"In the wake of the spiteful publication of some textbooks which attacks the sensibilities of some ethnic groups, we appeal to Christians and Ghanaians to use this festive moment to reflect on the best ways to create and sustain a stable, peaceful and united country," the statement said.
