Legal Practioner Kissi Agyebeng has been nominated in a letter by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Godfred Dame to head the Office of the Special Prosecutor following Martin Amidu's resignation.
His nomination has however not been welcomed by some scores in the Minority including Tamale South MP Haruna Iddrisu and former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu.
According to Mr Iddrisu, the nominee is not cut out for the job as he lacks the credentials and experience to sit as the Special Prosecutor.
For Mr Amidu, Mr Agyebeng's nomination should be worrying to Ghanaians noting that his appointment is meant to cover the tracks of persons implicated in the Agyapa Royalties Transaction corruption risk assessment report.
These concerns raised were tackled on today's show by host Samson Lardy Anyenini and his panelists.
The media has also been buzzing following a remark made by Sam Jonah during a Rotary event where he indicated that Ghana's failure to erradicate courrpution is not due to lack of laws but rather the inability of government to enforce laws.
He revealed that governments pay lip service to anti-corruption but do little substantially to cure the canker, hence encouraging the culture of silence.
Also, government is ensuring the passage of the broadcasting bill to check on the broadcasting of unauthorised content on media platforms.
Mr Jonah's call to end corruption including government's efforts to end unapproved media content were also touched on during the discussion.
